Fall is in full swing and it’s time to start celebrating the most popular produce of the season: the pumpkin! Operation Pumpkin, Hamilton’spumpkin and art festival, kicks off on the 5th and runs through the 7th in historic downtown Hamilton.
The pumpkin celebration will celebrate all things pumpkin including a giant pumpkin weigh-off with a grand prize of $10,000, giant catapults launching pumpkins aimed at targets stationed on the Great Miami River, painted pumpkins, a giant pumpkin regatta race, and more!
In addition to pumpkin fun, Operation Pumpkin will also feature a 5K race to benefit Badin High School scholarships, delicious local food vendors, crafty and skilled artisan vendors, live music from popular local artists, and a beer garden.
Don’t forget to bring the kids! Enjoy the festival with the whole family. Operation Pumpkin will boast thrilling amusement rides presented by the Murray Brothers Amusements who were voted the number one carnival in the state of Ohio. After taking a spin on their favorite ride, the kids can participate in candle making, face painting, a kids pumpkin patch, a petting zoo, archery, and more!
The festival will also celebrate the sounds of fall with live dance performances from the Art & Motion School of Dance and musical performances from Brendan Patman and the Ohio Metropolitan Pops Orchestra.
Proceeds from Operation Pumpkin will benefit the Great Miami Valley YMCA’s Camp Campbell Gard, the Hamilton Urban Garden Systems (HUGS), and the historic Butler County Courthouse.
