Family Friendly February

February in The BC is packed full of fun family friendly festivities. With a busy month full of events, you’re guaranteed to find the perfect family adventure.

Have a miniature train conductor in the family? Head over to the world’s largest indoor model train display at EnterTRAINment Junction. The Junction is kicking off “Everything Thomas”, a month long celebration of one of the most popular tank engine of all time, Thomas the Tank Engine. “Everything Thomas” features authentic Thomas wooden train layouts, a Thomas HO scale electric train display, videos, crafts, and a Thomas Friendly Scavenger hunt. “Everything Thomas” runs through February 29.

Maybe you have a mini naturalist? MetroParks presents Discover Kids: Hoot with the Owls. Meet and interact with the resident owl and learn all about nature and wildlife. Hoot with the Owls is presented at Rentschler Forest Preserve and VOA Park. Be sure to check out our February events page for information about both presentations.

Don’t forget about your little thrill seeker. The WEB Extreme Entertainment, nominated as one of the nation’s best laser tag arenas, will get your adrenaline pumping. With awesome laser tag, blacklight dinosaur miniature golf, a mini bowling ally, and an indoor go kart track, The WEB is guaranteed to become one of your kid’s favorite BC spots.

For your little drama queen, don’t miss the 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee at the Greater Hamilton Civic Theater. The performance is a hilarious tale of overachievers’ angst, chronicling the experience of six adolescent outsiders vying for the spelling championship of a lifetime. Your future thespian is sure to thank you later.

Family fun is running wild The BC during February. Don’t miss out on any of the great family adventures happening this month. Be sure to check out our events page for more family friendly BC events.
