Oxford for their Independence Day Celebration

Celebrate the 4th of July in Oxford with a Penny Carnival, American Celebration themed parade, music from D.J. Toad, and Rozzi’s Famous Fireworks show! The Penny Carnival in the Uptown Parks will include the Oxford Community Band, penny carnival games, inflatable fire truck slide, inflatable Dalmation bouncer, Freedom Train, concessions, and more!

Red, White, and Kaboom in Fairfield
Fireworks are coming to Fairfield this year on July 3. There will be live entertainme
nt by the Rusty Griswolds, The Blast of Brass Tour 2009, BlueStone Ivory, and Second Wind. At the end of the evening Rozzi’s Famous Fireworks will light up the sky! The Fairfield Aquatic Center will also be open from 8 pm to 11 pm for the annual Fireworks Swim (pool admission is required). The fireworks will be visible from Harbin Park, the Village Green Ampitheatre, and the Fairfield Aquatic Center.

Independence Day Celebration in Hamilton

The city of Hamilton is hosting a fantastic Independence Day Celebration this year on July 4. Enjoy an America the Beautiful themed parade that starts at the Butler County Fairgrounds, a patriotic ceremony with music, colors, and pageantry following the parade at the Butler County Courthouse, and a “Fireworks Extravaganza” by the Rozzi Famous Fireworks along the banks of the Great Miami River.

Liberty Township 5k race and 4th of July Festival
Burn off all the grilled hot dogs this 4th of July weekend by participating in the Liberty Township 5k race in Liberty Park on July 4. The race will be followed by the 24th Annual Fourth of July Parade and an all day festival in Liberty Park, featuring an apple pie contest!

Art in the Park in West Chester

What better way to spend warm summer days, than at the park making creative summer crafts?! Join the MetroParks of Butler County as they present nature-inspired craft workshops throughout the summer. Artist and educator Jalah Harris will be teaching ages 6-12 and their families about art in the sky and connecting with nature. The crafts will be based on themes of NASA, Sun dials, and comets. Sessions begin at 10 a.m. in Keehner Park.

Knife Skills Cooking Class at Jungle Jim’s


Learn to make classic cuts like julienne, dicing, how to sharpen, techniques for holding, and how to use a standard chef's knife. This hands-on class with Carol Tabone will make you feel like an expert in no time! The menu includes french onion soup with gruyere croutons, marinated cucumber dill salad, chicken moutarde sauteed chicken breast with a mustard cream sauce, mashed potatoes, and saute of julienne vegetables. The class starts tonight at 6 pm.
