Diamondback Roller Coaster at Kings Island

The “tallest, fastest, meanest” roller coaster at Kings Island dares victims to take a ride on its slopes. The Diamondback whips riders along through 5,200 feet of steel track and shoots them up hills 230 feet tall!

There were only two brave souls from our office that road the coaster.

“It was so exciting and the ride was very smooth,” Stephanie Gigliotti, the BCVB Sales Manager, said, “If you like roller coasters, you’ll definitely like this one.”

With speeds up to 80 mph, the ride lasts up to 3 minutes. The coaster stays true to its name at the end of the ride as two shooting streams of water rise as the car runs over the rails, looking like fangs spraying venom.

“You get two completely different experiences by sitting in the front car or in the back,” Gigliotti said. “Your locked in on your stomach, so as you come down the hill, you feel yourself coming out of your seat! It’s such a rush!”

“Danny and the Deep Blue Sea; An Apache Dance”

The Miami University Hamilton presents the spring production of "Danny and the Deep Blue Sea; An Apache Dance." The play, written by John Patrick Shanley and directed by Bekka Eaton, is set in a rundown bar in the Bronx where two "societal rejects" Danny and Roberta meet. Danny, played by recent Miami graduate Jason Howard, has severe anger management issues. Roberta, played by senior creative writing major Erika Fulton, is haunted by traumatic memories of her past. The two characters see a lot of themselves in each other and we follow them along in their intense relationship.
